An investigator living on a space station orbiting Io finds evidence of a death cult operating on the human colonies living on the moon of Ganymede.
The cult kills people while the victims are linked to a private network via neural implant. Cult members and the cult's customers link in so they can experience what death is like as the victims are killed.
These cult activities are carried out at the behest of an entity that lives in Jupiter’s Great Red Spot. This entity is worshipped as a god.
